    The tartan looks to be the Semphill tartan. Could that possibly be Lord Jamie Semphill? I've only met him once a few years ago, so I'm not positive on the ID. I do like his jacket, though!

    It might be mentioned, since we know the identity of the chief in the photo, that The Gathering 2009 is the brainchild of Lord Semphill.

    "This is, first and foremost, about the clans,” Lord Sempill said. “It’s a celebration of the contribution that the clans have made to the culture and history of Scotland.”
