    It's certainly my experience that the wearing of the kilt is well received nowadays. However I remember my parents dressing me in the kilt for church as a young boy and the shouts of "kilitie kiltie cold bum" from older boys on the way home.

    That brings back memories but it is something I have never heard shouted for years. I suppose so many people wear the kilt in Scotland at some point in their life, the respect for the wearer is immense

    It does become something of a conversational piece. I always have people coming up and talking to me at events who wouldn't otherwise.

    I was in a tailor shop today and was asked why I wear a kilt.
    when I told him it was my right and heritage I got the strangest look followed by a big smile. He then went about telling me of his family from Ireland.
    I don't believe the idea is to arrive in heaven in a well preserved body! But to slide in side ways,Kilt A' Fly'n! Scream'en "Mon Wha A Ride" Kilted Santas
