Winter coming... surely

Here's a little picture taken today morning. The lakes have freezed but the temperature went plus degrees yesterday. Very nice effect because the ice is covered by water. "Hey! Are you trying to mirror under my kilt!?"

Now that is a very cool pic.
Our lakes haven't frozen yet in the high country. Once they do, it doesn't often get on the 'plus' side until the spring thaw.

I just love that photo, Ackwell!

From an unseasonally warm Southern England (currently, at 11.50pm: 63ºF/17ºC outside my back-door), and the forecasters telling us it will remain so for the coming week, at least. Where are our frosts? What has happened to the leaf-fall? Why are some of my spring flowering shrubs starting to show colour in their buds? Why are the birds starting to use the nesting-boxes? Why.....
