Absolutely not, not ever! Yuck!
-
Not really. Good ones are few and far between.
-
*shrug*..whatever. No strong opinion.
-
I've seen quite a few that I liked.
-
I think they're just great...really cool!

I've seen some that I like and I would rather see my husband wearing a full mask sporran to a formal event than one with a glittery cantel.
I do have some pretty stingy criteria though:
* I think animals with shorter fur make better sporrans
* Gigantic sporrans just look odd (compensating for something?)
* The head has to be shaped nicely, collapsed crinkled heads don't appeal to me
* I actually prefer ones with eyes, it makes the head look proportionate, in most cases sewed shut eyes just blend in with the head too well and make the critter look strange.
* Obnoxious and/or unatural coloured eyes are creepy. Some creatures naturally have red eyes, but these should be substituted for brown, black or something low-key (pale blue and yellow look alright when executed well)
* No teeth. Snarling animals look cool as mounts, but not down by your crotch.
* I think only the top jaw should be used.
Most of the full mask sporrans I like are made out of young adult badgers that were probably killed in the summer.
I saw a grey squirrel child's sporran that looked pretty nice once.
Bobcats look cool, but they're generally too big to my eye. They would probably look nice on a Man of Substance.
This is all of course is coming from a hunter. lol.

P.S. There needs to be a "I like them, but good ones are hard to find"

I like the full mask sporrans myself. I wasn't always in that camp. But, when done right they can be smashing. I have a skunk full mask made by L&M, and wear it as often as I can. My wife... lol... not so much...

On the goodwife's behalf I voted I've seen quite a few I liked. As she stated, some just look weird and freaky. So the ones she doesn't like are due to the results of construction. One that the face looks natural she likes.
Of course, she's been around me for 23 years and we've had skulls and skins all over the house. That is what she gets being married to a hunter that uses as much as possible.

As the Mrs. half of the Kett ID, I've placed my vote for "Not really, good ones are hard to find".
I have the same opinion as Chelsea and she summed it up beautifully. And I also agree with her on the badgers - those are the ones I tend to like. The others, not so much.

I have a full-face sporran and have received nothing but complements on it. Maybe it's the way that it was made. I have seen some that I wouldn't be caught wearing.
Ifhave worn it at formal occassions and never heard a bad remark. My lady and I will vote "Yes"

My fiance has also expressed her dislike for full-mask sporrans. I don't really like the look either, so that works out rather well.

My wife thinks they're horrifying! So, none for me, I'm afraid...

My wife doesn't have a real strong opinion on them, but tends to like other kinds better.
Interestingly, I visited with a charming Scottish lady at the Missouri Tartan Day festival in St Charles in April, who was almost aghast at one she had seen there. She said "It had a wee beastie on it". I was not able to get a look at the one she was talking about but she was obviously not impressed by it.
