An interesting poll of the lasses, LASSES

At the recent Post - Games dinner at the Farlanders here in Nor Cal, I raised the subject of whether the attending lasses liked full-mask sporrans.

We had four lasses present at the moment the question was popped. Of the four, three said "no-yuck!" and one definitely liked them, in fact liked them so much that she'd actually made a poster of ones she'd seen, and was looking for more to photograph.

The Luminous Joan **really** doesn't like them at all. She thinks they're bizarre and compared them to wearing a fur stole with the animals face and paws still on it.

So, just out of curiosity, LASSES ONLY PLEASE...vote. Do you generally like Full-Mask sporrans or not?

Men, write in the thread, sure but vote...nope, only the ladies vote .

Oh, this will be interesting, I bet...

I can answer for my wife, she hates full mask sporrans. Once said something about men wearing dead animal heads sticking out of their groin area, or words to that effect.

    Best regards,

    well

I can not vote, but I personally do not like them. they take away from the kilt, they are distracting, and they look messy and informal.

It kind of reminds me of the guy with bullhorns on the front of his pickup and a deer straped to the hood of his Elcamino, not that there is anything wrong with that, it just isn't formal in my opinion.

Though I am sure I offended someone so I will say again, this is my opinion, doesn't make it right.

My wife has also expressed disgust on full mask sporrans. Whenever I stopped to admire them, she gives me a pretty emphatic "NO!" to discourage any interest I may have in getting one for myself.

A lady friend of mine thinks that for some guys it's just a way to meet women especially if the guy is wearing a casual kilt like at Highland Games or Ren fairs.

Mrs. Splash just answered,,,,, On other men, yes... On me, no. She doesn't want it in the house, afraid that the dogs will want to chase it.

OK, rules revision....for you men who have SO's or wives that expressed an opinion, you can put in a vote that represents your favorite lasses opinion. But only vote ONCE! Every vote has to represent a WOMANS opinion, not a mans.

I'm going to vote "YUCK", because I know that the Luminous Joan just hates them.
