On average, Kiltmakers like myself, Barb, Matt, and others, charge in the range of $250.00 to $350.00 US for our labor.
The rest of the cost of the Kilt is in the fabric. And as there are relatively few good Kilt wool weaving mills, and we all buy from the same ones, our prices are comparable.
Be wary of a shop offering Kilts for ridiculously lower prices or prices any higher.
Those prices are why he is asking for something in Mexico. Those prices would be about 3,500 pesos. Way to expensive, I am guessing, for this guy.
And, unfortunately, why I am not able to buy a full, traditional, hand-made kilt. Still saving up though.
