My condolences to his family. It strikes me as odd though all these jokes about someone who has recently passed away, perhaps it's a coping mechanism. I find it sad that people feel the need to try to make fun of someone who was honestly successful in his chosen profession. It certainly shows more about the person making the comment than the intended target.
