I've been a Morgan afficianado since 1959, and an owner since 1967... yeah, I think they're cool.

Yes they are cool, very cool, in the literal sense. I have had three Morgans in my time and the heaters were worse than useless!

    More pictures

One of our main reasons to go to these games was to cheer on our dear friend Alan H. who was throwing in the Masters Competition

I will let Alan relate how he and his friends performed, but here are pictures of him in action

    Alan and friends

    Alan at rest

There was more than just Scottish Heavy Athletics to enjoy. When the throwers took their break for lunch a rousing game of Shinty has played

However I stuck to athletic activities more suited to my willowy build and delicate nature

In parts of North America Morgan owners run with the heaters on in the summer in the forlorn hope that it will somehow keep the blasted thing from overheating!

My beautiful Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess certainly knows how to stand out in the crowd!

Robert (LANCER1562 )lives up to his XMTS moniker and looks quite dashing doing it!

    Smayniac and son Scooby

Bob was more than happy to sit back and enjoy the games while the kids ran around

    Sinbad, Scooby, and Xena

Sinbad takes on the bounce house obstacle course

What would a Highland Game be like without animals?

    Pony rides for wee Xena

There was a wonderful display put on my a Falconer group that included this handsome Cooper's Hawk

I inspected these kilts in the making

And the entire hillside was covered with a herd of goats that keep the brush down and reduce the risk of wildfires

    The kids loved them

As well as the Celtic rock band Tempest

At the Court of Queen Mary an actual hand fasting ceremony was held
