I enjoyed the movie (Master & Commander)but both lead roles were IMHO miscast.

Agreed:

Russell Crowe as Jack Aubrey - marginal
Paul Bettany as Stephen Maturin - wrong
Billy Boyd as Barrett Bonden - not even close

The guy who played Killick was right on, though...!
