I know... let's not get into the word "fanny" either
Our new stations are very different too - we hate a lot less stations and presenters because they always get "experts" in to talk about things - where are in the USA in certain news stations the presenters often state their opinion. It's then hard to establish what the real news is!
But the haggis thing is really spun. From certain news sources it seems like the historian is actually claiming haggis was invented by English. The English also had sheep and some herbs etc. and one of them decided to make a dish out of them and take a note of the recipe. That doesnt make it haggis.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I think it is safe to say that a recipe for haggis was recorded by an Englishman. Whether the English or the Scots or anyone for that matter was actually eating it is something else entirely.
