    The bargains are there to be had on eBay, if one has the patience. Since March this year I have bought, firstly:

    a wool, 13oz, hand sewn, 8 yard Flower of Scotland kilt, delivered to my door by courier for £34.00 and secondly;

    Geoffrey (Tailor) Argyle jacket, day sporran, black hose and a MacLeod of Harris, wool, 8 yard, 13oz kilt, delivered for £49.99. Oh and it had a sgian dhub tucked into the inside pocket.

    Although both are not cheap, I think that I have had very good value for money.

    Actually I bought it for material only, so you must go for really big size to get more material.
    thats some nice workmanship there ,and you`d never know it was a kilt/skirt before

    so true chas i often spend a fair bit of time hunting out those rare deals its the ones you least expect that tend to be the best deals as well
    im just happy i got my misses a nice quailty unworn kilt skirt even if she hardly wears it im proud i was able to stick with my clan tartan
