WNC / Upstate SC and Charlotte...
Okay, so this really weird guy called me today and said, in between talking about old ladies and dulcimers, that Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans are booked to play a pub in Rutherfordton (*Ruffton for the locals) on September 26. Since Rutherfordton is 45 or so minutes from Ashehole, 30 or so minutes from Sparkle City and 45 or so minutes from Charlotte, y'all wanna have a multi-rabble kilt night, baffle the Rutherford County locals, support a rockin' band, and a place that books them all at the same time?
Shout out if you're interested, and Shawn, post some details.

I would if I could, but I can't so I ain't. I'll be in Newland that day at a marching band contest.
By the way, you forgot to post that Rulfton (yes, there's an L in it) is about half an hour from my house (and my 'coon sporran).

You came up, by name, in our conversation I'll have you know!
You're never around anymore...I don't think you love us anymore. Oh well, we'll get up with you soon, I guess.

Was I grouped with the old ladies or the dulcimers?

This sounds like a real plan. The only prob for me is that my science dept party may be happening at my house that night. Date not firm yet.

I won't be there that weekend, but I should be up there the last week of October.

It looks like I may (may) be able to be there. Is the plan still a go? When and where is the meetup?
