Now, this is a funny story. I was not sure I was going to want to wear the kilt when I ordered the above. It was a Stillwater Standard acrylic kilt that arrived 1 hour before I ordered it (Thanks to Jerry's flying squirrel delivery and time warping).

After I had it strapped on for 1 day, I ordered an 8 yard tank and a 4 yard box pleat. Sadly, this kilt no longer exists as it was shipped to my nephew. However, I am sitting at 9 kilts and am still looking at more!

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

MY EYES!! THEY BURN!! White hose do that to me...

...what did you think I meant? Jeez...

S, this is the first one I bought for myself:

It's a black Amerikilt. I have had a kilt for most of my life, but they were Black Watch kilts for kids. I didn't wear them all that often. And then I discovered the joys of contemporary kilts! I honestly didn't like that kilt all that well. I was used to traditional kilts and kept pulling it up to where a kilt should be. It looked like a mini skirt on me. SO- I placed a second order to AK, requesting a traditional rise (which is actually what I'm wearing as I type this) and I absolutely love it.
