    Thank you for asking. I have made a few kilt pins that echo the designs in the custom buckles; however, I have not been sufficiently satisfied with my work, so that is still on the design board. With one exception:

    The kilt pin design that I do like so far incorporates either dropped colored glass or a stone from Scotland that echos the glass or stone in the belt buckle. Those are simple designs, and pleasing to my eye, as I lean toward function and ornament that is not overly done. I realize that I might be in the minority here- most people do tend toward the fancy.

    I find myself in agreement with you. I like simple, attractive but functional designs. I don't really care for things which exist solely to be ornamental, such as tassels or fringes.

    I recognize that kilt pins, by their nature are ornaments, but I still prefer simple designs.
