Yes, that's the thread I was thinking of. In reading it again, I see you made mention of wearing diced or Argyll hose with formal wear. I think this pic would be a nice addition to demonstrate it.

But they wouldn't match my Black Watch tartan kilt. Besides it makes a contrast to Glen's white tie outfit and shows that solid color hose work perfectly well.
