    Here's the story;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_cap

    Peoples feelings about wearing them it kilts is another story!
    I personally feel they are just as historic and traditional as the Tam, Glengarry or Balmoral, and quite appropriate for casual and daywear kilted outfits, depending on the event, venue, climate etc..

    Ah my dear Alan, I'm gonna have to start keeping better tabs on you. Advertising again (not that I mind, spinning and commissions are the only thing keeping me in groceries these days) At first I thought you were saying the hose with busted heels were my hose and I had a moment of panic. Glad to know the handknits are going strong.

    OK, well everything but that unsex, part.
    How about the bit where he tries to back out and she says that if she had made the same promise to him, she would bash out the brains of her own baby (ok, I'm paraphrasing here, but it gets the to the gist of it anyway). She's one sick puppy. I'm going to enjoy this!

    And, yeah, I'll do without the unsex bit too.

    I don't have any white hose myself but I don't really have a problem with them. I wear black a lot. The problem with hose in general is the lack of available colors. I have now started looking for solid color soccer socks. Not the nice wool of kilt hose but not bad. A few more color choices to pick from.

    I auditioned for the part of Yorick once, but the biology teacher got the part.

    This whole Lady Macbeth thing sounds a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

    And I gotta tell you that I had a pair of hand knitted white hose made years ago, knitted in acrylic so they don't itch or shrink. They are still the best hose I ever owned.

    Let's all hope that spot Lady MacBeth is having so much trouble getting out is not in her husband's nice handsewn tank, becasue THAT would be a real travesty.
