Pictures of the New Newsome/Brand new tartan

    Hey all!

The new Newsome that I posted and boasted about in the thread http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/m...853/index.html

came in as promised. What a thrill to see that box and tear into it. I hope the pictures do it justice. Please forgive the hose/flashing combination--looking for coordinating items already.

I hope one can see hints of both the Confederate and Federal Memorial Tartans in this design. For a more detailed description of the design and why each color was chosen see the link mentioned above.

If you have EVER thought about creating your own tartan then having it made--there's nothing like seeing this process come to it's completion

Excellent on all counts. The tartan is not only beautiful, but the thought behind the choices makes it really special. And hey, I wouldn't worry about perfect coordination too much... it all looks great as is.

Looks great! There's a whole world of color combinations for the hose and flashes. A lot will look good with that tartan.

Thanks! And thanks to everyone for their supportive comments on this design. Because of the military history I wanted to reflect in the design, I asked Matt to knife pleat it. When he showed how it would look pleated to the white stripe--I just HAD to go with it!
