Keep the sites coming. I will add them to my master list.
I haven't heard of a state capitol that hasn't been willing to help. Granted I have only needed to help a couple people on that. Recently we had a Senior Chief (E8) retire and she wanted her flag for her retirement case flown at the USS Texas as she wanted to have something meaningful to represent she's a Texan. Since I never do anything half way I managed to get her flag to the Alamo (took it there myself on a three day weekend, a lot of fun) than over to the USS Texas who also had it flown over the San Jacenta Memorial. This was in addition to the capitol.
So far I have served active duty the USS Detroit AOE-4 (scrapped), TAD (temp duty) to the Kitty Hawk CV-63 (decomm), reserve duty on USS Constitution, USS Nimitz CVN-68, USS Lincoln CVN-72, and USS John C. Stennis CVN-74.
Recently I looked back at my career so far and I noticed that I have served in the surface navy, (USS Detroit), brown shoe navy (aviation with the carriers), amphib navy (BMU-2 beach masters), intel, ground navy (PHIBCB-1 sea bees) and spec war (SEAL team support). All I have to do in the next 5 years before I get my 20 is try and get stationed with a sub unit and I will have covered the entire navy.
