Looks good!
If you want to wear it with the waistcoat I would recomend getting two very small safety pins and tacking the bottom up on the inside of the the waistcoat to shorten it.
A cheap, quick and easy fix to a too long waistcoat with a proper length kil jacket.
PM me if that didn't make sense
Cheers

Very nice. Congratulations. I like the turtleneck look myself (satisfies the spy in all of us.)

I like the black waistcoat with the grey jacket. You might want to consider replacing the buttons on the waistcoat with ones to match those on the jacket. I think it would present a more unified look.
They're both very good looks. Congrats, and keep posting the pics!

It looks very nice indeed. Captmac makes the buttons, and some to match the jacket can be easily obtained. Better yet, mark where you want the waistcoat to be shortened to, send it to me, and I'll fix it and replace the buttons. How's that?

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

My thoughts exactly, Jamie!
Also (if I might be so bold, Pete) I would suggest wearing a grey tie rather than the black one with that combination. It would connect more with the kilt and, indeed, the jacket. A blue tie would also work, but it would need to match the blue of the tartan exactly and, being bright, it would rather take from the more formal 'look' - on second thoughts, better with a jacket-and-no-waistcoat outfit. Do give it a try sometime.
In all, a great new acquisition - well done!
Take care,
Ham.

Hamish--please 'be so bold'. Any advice from you is something I would always pay attention to! Thank you.
