This is the first kilt that my mother-in-law made for me.
It is a no name pattern found at the fabric store bargain bin.
I am still proud to have it! My youngest has one that matches.

...your son's a right chip off the block! :-) The two of you make a magnificent pair. Merry Christmas!
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.

I really like the look of camo kilts. I like the MARPAT pattern, any of the new digital patterns, the civilian patterns like Mossy Oak and Real Tree.

But that's a very interesting idea, making a kilt of one of the German patterns. I think the normal "splinter" German Army pattern material must be available, as I see people wearing stuff in that pattern fairly often (civilian jackets, baseball caps, etc). Actually for the reenactor market they make all of the old German seasonal patterns. I saw a booth at a gun show where a guy was selling all that stuff by the yard.
