Preservation Information
I haven't really had a chance to look through this, but I know many of you have items you would like to keep in good condition, or have antiques that might need some care. I thought I would post it here to see if it might help anyone. I just did a quick search on "moths wool" to see what it came up with... looks like it pulled up some interesting information.

That is very timely information, thank you for the link.
I just found holes in my heavy navy blue gansey and a crochet beret - my own fault for leaving them in a bag since August after I had been on holiday.
The culprit is most likely the Varegated Carpet Beetle - they have destroyed the carpets since arriving in a batch of donated yarn.
I will search for sure and certain beetle killing methods which will not damage Humans.
I am certain of the source - it is like 'fairy rings' of mushrooms - the centre of the circle is the original point of infection.

I'm so glad I posted this, then! I saw it on Twitter and it seemed like the sort of thing a lot of people I know would need. I hope you find something helpful from the site, and sorry to hear about the damage. Hopefully you'll be able to get rid of them quickly. Best wishes!
