Far too clever Sir!

What a grand thread this has been!

It must be one of those trans-Atlantic misunderstandings, must it not? But I am not at all sure that I actually told you to wear that infamous bucket hat.

Actually, it's King George V.

I'm just saying that if you must wear a flat cap it should be tweed and not tartan.

Bob
My family owned several acres on the corner of Race Street and West San Fernando Street. The property was sold off and the neighborhood is the result. I grew up on the that corner across from Saint Leo's Church. Went in the Army in 1971. When I became a private contractor, I was lucky to be able to base out of the San Jose area. Over the years I owned houses in the Dry Creek area, South San Jose, and Los Gatos until the '89 earthquake leveled it. That caused to us move to the Blossom Valley area, where we stayed for 17 years. Then it became obvious to this son of the Golden West that it was time to leave the area my family had helped build since 1839. But, that's how it is, time moves forward and things change.

Well, George's father was Edward.
As for look-alikes, there's George's cousin, Nicholas. I can hardly tell them apart, but yes, they both had splendid facial hair.

Rex.

Indeed, not to mention Kaiser Bill. I must admit to missing the family resemblance but I should have recognised the more streamlined apearance.
