I think boots can look good with a kilt, but there are boots, and then there are boots!
I am assuming that your outfit will be as dressy or as casual as what the bride wears. Your boots should not distract from your outfit, or the bride's outfit. Wearing tennis shoes with a tux was considered cute for a while in Hollywood, but it never really looked good. Pick boots that match the look you and the bride are going for.
