    The very first time I wore a kilt to church, I was sing in the choir. It was very comfortable under the heavy choir robe. And raised a lot of eyebrows during the recessional.

    It's quite comfortable. Much cooler than trousers on those occasions when the building is warm.

    I find myself being a little more purposeful about pleat-sweeping when I sit, otherwise no problems.

    Long robe, but you can see the socks with no pant legs showing. The robe I used was for a person shorter than me. So the hem probably was 10 inches off the floor.
