Thanks Matt, for posting that link. Modesty is a good excuse, but the truth is, it was a lack of follow-though on my part. I got carried away with the subject at hand and forgot that many guys have not seen the buckles on your Scottish Tartans Museum Gift Shop website.
My mind was on metal, and thoughts about the way that these particular metals look, especially on people's belts and tartans. Photographs of the metal on neutral grey background show one thing, and photgraphs of the metals on fabric and leather show something else!
