Spotted some kilts at a concert last night

I was at the Flogging Molly show in Dallas. A few rows in front of me in the upper balcony area, were 3 guys wearing Utilikilts. Also, on the way out, I saw a guy wearing a tartan kilt. I'm not sure what tartan it was. I wasn't really looking, so I'm sure there could have been a lot more kilts. Hubby didn't wear his kilt. I'm sure he wasn't in the mood to deal with drunken idiots' hands, and I don't think he would have been very comfortable in it with the seating there. The Utilikilt guys' kilts were pretty messy looking because of the seating. One had his pleats totally smashed up and he was showing a lot of leg when they left their seats for a brief time. Thankfully he realized it quickly enough and pulled his kilt back down before he gave a show of his own.

While I was waiting between acts, I actually checked the board out on my iPhone.

I enjoyed it very much. I've been meaning to catch them when they're in Dallas, but never seemed to be able to do it until now. I wasn't as fond of the opening bands, but they just weren't my thing. FM was fun to watch.

They have a show in Houston tonight, I'm trying to make it, ('trying' = working a scam to get free tickets) I'll report tomorrow if I get in!

I'll be seeing them for the 2nd time on the 28th here in Rochester. I wore my kilt last time as well with no issues at all, in fact I had a security guy come up and thank me for being the only one who was dressed appropriately for the show.

We saw them at the House of Blues in Dallas. I'd never been there before and we chose to sit in the balcony (upper section). We're tall -- my poor hubby's knees were so close to the head of the person in front of him, and he banged his knee into the chair at least once. Any time someone needed to get to their seat or leave to do something, everyone had to stand up and let them squeeze by. That was the only thing I didn't like about it. I felt a bit like a sardine.

I am glad you had a good time, considering how you felt earlier in the day... Thanks for sharing your story!

Yeah, I came so close to not going because I felt so crappy Christopher said he would have called two friends to come get our tickets, because he wouldn't have gone without me (awwww). Glad I toughed it out and went... started feeling a little better by the time we got there.

I've seen Flogging Molly about 6 times now. They will be in Norfolk, VA later this month, and I'll wear my SWK Irish National kilt. The place they are playing doesn't have seats so it is standing room only. Luckily I won't have to worry about the kilt riding up from the seats, but only from stray hands lol
