I second Rex's suggestion of renting the first time around. Matt has the National Millennium tartan as well as Black Watch and I would recommend the National Millennium. The attendants at our wedding wore this.

One hubby finds out how great he looks and how much attention he gets, persuading him to get his own kilt will be so much easier. Good luck,
