Step three: Rent the finery your lucky husband needs from Matt.

Ali, you should put forth some effort to outfit your husband reasonably, but the truth is that you will go to the ball, and he will be standing next to you, most of the night.

My dear...NO ONE is going to be looking at him, when he's standing next to *you*.

Ali, check with the folks at Edinburgh Castle Scottish Imports located at 124 South Main Street Salt Lake City, they are good folks to work with-at least they've always treated me right. Their main rental kilts are the Black Watch and the Royal Stewart. They have a limited number of kilts in the Gordan and MacDonald tartan.

Getting hubby to try the kilt is but a small step-we need to convert him!!

Ali,

Sounds like you have received plenty of good advice. There is not much I can add.

The ball should make it easier for your husband to be comfortable in a kilt. It is always easier to go out kilted the first time with others kilted, than it is to do it by yourself.
