    No idea about them sending you a letter, or possibly the sender of the sporran a letter. This is why most sporran makers, when importing pieces to the US, will not make it out of seal and clearly mark the item as bovine (or whatever it's made out of).

    The ambiguity of the labeling might have customs suspecting that it is indeed seal, even if it isn't.

    I understand why a modern maker would do such a thing, but this is an older sporran so no need for markings. I thought the ambiguity of the sporran would aid in it passing.

    What is odd is that there simply aren't any more updates other than the initial arrival in the United States to ISC.
