Good Call! Certainly beats "Bring Out The Gimp" (ala Pulp Fiction)

I have followed your previous sporran making threads and am enjoying this one also. I really like the idea of the braiding and as I said in a previous post it adds that little je ne sais quoi to your work. I don't think it is overbearing or ostentatious. From your comments you enjoy doing it and after all they are your creations. All the best with your endeavours

Thanks for the very kind words. I only worry about the lacing because it's a bit out of my comfort zone - design wise. I know in the big picture lacing is pretty minimal compared to metal cantles, diced hose and broad, shaped sporran chains.

Without further ado, #3 - the big gulp

The new cabochon shape and smaller toggles are cut of Ebony Macassar. My four year old saw the cabochon and immediately said "it looks like a bear's nose"

I managed to get the bag, belt, and sporran strap all done for today's Highland games.

It still needs breaking in, but hopefully will be off to a new home while I:

continue work on #4, start template designs for the Jacobite bag and a hunting sporran (5 & 6?) as well as continue to research and source materials for my full mask.

Finnished sporran looks great, those wood toggles blend, yet enhance the colour of the leather. I am really looking forward to seeing project of the hunting sporran. If it is of the same quality that you have exhibited so far, I for one would be extremely interested in adding to my sporran collection.
Once again thanks for the pics
