greetings from Virginia/ middle east
Hello everyone,
I was led to the site doing research for my potential next kilt. I'm a Stewart on my mothers side and tend to stick with the family tartans unless I plan to really go out there and buy a utilikilt (I did see a model that would hold most of a 12 pack). I have an unlabeled 4-5 meter casual kilt in Black Stewart that was a gift from my parents a few years ago. If my profile picture is working, that is me and my fiance from last St. Patrick's Day in Richmond, VA.

Hi, Rod, and welcome to XMTS from the bottom end of Africa.
My military time included a spell in a tropical region just south of Angola. You have to acclimatise before you start working the territory.
Of course, I was in a relatively humid region. Iraq, I imagine, is extremely dry away from the big rivers. But the heat gets you both ways.
Regards,
Mike

Greeting from a Whidbey Islander in the middle of nowhere.
I'm a former US Navy AM2 and a current US Army Cpl.(19K), but regardless of your denomination, even a DOD contractor, no less your brethren! Keep your head on a swivel and get your butt home in one piece!!! For those who don't, say a prayer and give some time to help them out(no money...volunteer with the VA or American Legion...they need the help on the homefront, and they helped me a lot).
I'm going back to active duty(until retirement this time) in a few days. God Bless You for your service and your sacrifices. It does not go unnoticed, though sometimes unsaid.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
