One of my favourite "Willie & Joe" cartoons by the late Bill Maudlin shows a group of GI's arguing -- the caption says, "You Irishmen would have lost this war without allies like Texas and Russia!" ![Cool](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Tevas, now it makes sense -- your Z-coils could pass for high heels in the right light!

Bill Maudlin is a local boy done good. He was from High Rolls and when the railroad was still running between Alamogordo and Cloudcroft, Maudlin would mess with them. As a train was making its way up, Maudlin would get on a trestle and stick his head up between the rails. Seeing a boys head in the tracks the engineers would try to stop the train before hitting Maudlin who would slip down the trestle laughing and be long gone before the train would come to a complete halt.
