I bought Legacy, but I haven't done much with it. I do most of my work on Ancestry.com, and I really use Legacy as a place to dump a back up of my tree. I need to look at the formatting and printing options on Legacy. Whatever you choose, remember to back up your files on a separate drive of some kind, even if you opt to use an online vendor.

I've been using Legacy Family Tree for quite a few years now. I have almost 140,000 name in the tree. I do just the opposite. I do all the work in Legacy and then create a GEDCOM file and upload it to Rootsweb.com. Legacy isn't perfect, but I've tried several others and I like it the best of those I've tried.
If my hard drive were to crash, and the backup drive didn't work, I could download the GEDCOM from Rootsweb to restore the data. That's why I try to keep my Rootsweb file pretty current.
