I just got home from cataract surgery. It wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I guess I'll live. It's just hard to type with one eye covered. Second eye in a couple of months. Now i have to take a week off and when I go back to work I will be on light duty. And I can't ride my bar stool. TV really sucks. 400 channels and nothing on. Note to self. Send wife to library for dvds to watch. No chick fliks. Bring home 12 pack.
Hey...this might just turn out OK.

Glad the eye surgery went well. Just listen to the doc's orders! Before you know it, you'll be as good as new; even better.
I can empathize though, I just got home from a heart cath. Now, I'm on R&R for 4 weeks. At least I'm here. Enjoy the time off!

My padre who is 63 had both of these procedures, plus an artery stint, done in the last three years, and is back to full steam, and can see better than he has in years. Both surgeries were well worth it. Follow your surgeon's advice and you'll be good as new, if not better.

Glad to hear your surgery went well. I actually had iLasik done on both my eyes Monday... The best advice I can give, as I couldn't see crap from noon onwards for the rest of the day, is audio books (books on tape).
The store in iTunes carries a pretty good selection of audiobooks... I spent hours listening to Alan Alda narrate his autobigraphy, Never Have Your Dog Stuffed. Audiobooks are a nice alternative when you can't use your eyes and just music isn't cutting it for you.

Wishing you a speedy recovery though! :-) Keep yer chin up.

I have to keep my chin up. Otherwise the eye drops dribble down my cheek.
Thanks for all the comments. things are going well. A slight problem due to the fact I did have lasik, but it had to do with the way my Eyeball is shaped.

 Any way....No work 'til monday.
