    LOL I think as does Jock that these pics may be definatly "invented" or dreamed up, but a part of history they are. Again, as I said WE invinte it as we go. Matt, how much does your plaid go for?

    Actually they were neither "invented" nor dreamed up, but were an eyewitness historical representation of Queen Victoria's Highland retainers, illustrated (for the most part) in their "best" ceremonial dress.

    I think where individuals get bent about these, is when they are used by others to illustrate what the average (or common) man wore in the Highlands during this period (when kilted or not).

    Which style are you asking about the price? The shepherd's plaid or the half-belted? Both are priced on the web site, just follow the links I provided.
