Thanks All,
I did not dream there would be so many replies so quickly. You're a great bunch of folk! I am sorry if I did not make myself clear at the outset. My question deals with the propriety of having the Scottish tartan of the kilt sewn as the insets to the Welsh Prince Charlie jacket. There would be only one tartan worn.
The concensus of your replies seems to be building toward fully Scottish garments, and, I must confess, that was my own feeling. However, many thanks to McClef for suggesting the Welsh buttons and pins. That may be just the balance I was trying to seek. Why don't I ever think of these things?
