I buy bananas and than let them hang for a week or more before eating them. I like mine with tons of brown spots (not bruises) before even consider eating them.

I'm with you on this one. My wife likes the bananas still green and almost crunchy they're so underripe, I like them lightly spotted (not bruised).

My wife and I are the same. There's much more flavour with some spots!

If you separate the bananas from each other, they'll ripen more slowly. If they get a little overripe, peel then freeze them in Ziploc bags, and then add them to a smoothy for a refreshing tasty beverage.

I'm with you on this one too. Also, all our friends are now in the habit of giving us their over-ripe bananas and we peel and freeze them three to a bag - just right for our banana bread recipe.
