Now you've seen the handiwork of Jerry's time warping squirrels. The only shipping that's faster is Acme sending stuff to Wile E.

Yeah- what he said! I've seen other off-the-rack kilts, and Stillwaters are by far the best. I own two of their wool heavies, and plan on getting a third in the near future. They are well worth the price!

Couldn't agree more. I often wear the Nighstalker or Leatherneck Standard Kilt, and recently acquired one of the black lambskin leather casual-wear kilt jackets, which I also like a lot. The latter, like the kilts, is a great deal for the price.

You know, I don't like the standards so much... I learned the hard way that they're very flammable, which for a camper is a bad thing, and they snag really easily, which for an owner of three cats is a bad thing! So I'll stick with their wool. But honestly, other than those two issues that don't fit into my lifestyle, even the acrylibeast kilts are great!

All though they do pill, while I do like my Stillwater Standards, should I buy from Jerry it will be a wool. You were right Hawk, once I got a wooly, no looking back.

I keep on looking at Rocky's stuff...

Yeah. I bought an off the rack non-wool kilt from the local Celtic store and I absolutely love it. I have no idea where they buy them from (except that they're from Scotland), but it's very heavy and doesn't pill like like my SWK standards do. I still love them, and Jerry's service is unsurpassed. And I'm quite sure everybody, including Jerry, told me when I began this journey of kilting that SWK standards and thriftys are meant to be a good value, not the highest quality kilt you can find. That's why they're 80 bucks.

Can anyone speak to the jump in quality from an SWK standard to an SWK heavyweight wool? If it's significant, I sure wouldn't mind seeing that Ancient Hunting MacRae hanging in my closet. Are you listening, Jerry?

I'd also have to agree with the comment about Rocky's stuff. I've been slowly circling USA kilts for my next purchase.
