Seated on the right in this picture of some Fianna Éireann members is Irish patriot Con Colbert, wearing a saffron kilt. Colbert was a teacher at St.Enda's school. He was executed for his role in the Easter Rising.

    Great photo "Z"!

Earlier in this thread I posted three photos of some kilt wearing students from St. Edna's. As I recall none followed Colbert into the Easter Rising.

Just above those photos I also posted a photo of Commandant Thomas Ashe, who occupied North County Dublin at Easter 1916 for the Irish Republic.

FDR @ Poughkeepsie, NY January 1887

The first photo and three links (posted as photos below), appeared in this thread.

    My cousin* Franklin D. Roosevelt:

...can anyone tell what it is? Clan? Something else?

The following appeared as links in the afore mentioned thread:

This one I believe appeared in this thread before:

*Through my Verplanck /Vigne (New Amsterdam) linage, Franklin D. Roosevelt is a distant cousin of mine. My ancestor, Maria (Vigne) married Jan Roos about 1631. Jan died about 1632. They had one son, Gerrit Jansen Roos (Franklin D. Roosevelt descended from this son). Gerrit's great-great-great granddaughter, Cornelia Hoffman, married Isaac Roosevelt in 1752 (FDR was their great-great grandson).

In 1634 Maria (Vigne) Roos married Abraham Ver Planck (they were my 10th great-grandmother /grandfather).
