I've been taking bagpipe lessons from the bayou city pipes and drums since may last year and was hoping to be initiated into the band in time for this.

The HHGA Board approved canceling the May 2011 Games/Festival at its January 12th meeting. It seems this action was taken primarily due to an inability to populate key committee positions, and line up corporate funding in time. They are still planning to have the games in 2012 though.
