Hmmm- was she wearing red when she hit ground off the ship? It's hard to remember when I saw the original series in B&W- I mean the first 20 or so times around.

Clearly then, Uhura defied the red tunic curse on at least one occasion. But no doubt Kirk was always keeping a special eye on her- and if I recall my geek gossip, G.R. certainly was.
