Tribal Wars SPEED server!

That's right, if you missed it, there is now a speed world set up. Go to the main Tribal Wars page and see the announcement. You must have a premium account to play, but it is running at like 10x speed. I have only been on for about 1 hour and I already have HQ 2, Timber and Clay 4, and Iron 2.

And they are going to give out prizes of premium account points at the end of the world on June 15.

I am at 483|496 K44 if anybody else joins. Not sure how much of this will be tribes vs. individuals, but thought I would let others know. I will start a XMTS tribe.

I actually don't have the time, but my villages in 5 are all self-sustaining, and the one in 6 is doing well also. I saw that somebody got attacked right of the protection window on 7, so I figure if that world is going to be that cutthroat, I will let that village slide. And it is really awesome to be able to do resource upgrades every 10-12 minutes! And they complete in like 3 minutes. There are only about 600 players, so it should be interesting. And I figure I will either succeed or be farm bait in under a week. By that time, my W5-7 villages should be able to stand on their own for a while.

Yes I wonder where you do get the time. I waited up long past my bedtime last night to see out a battle in W6, then by the time I logged on again tonight my W7 warehouse had maxed out.

lol KCW if it's like the German versions I was reading about it would take a week, Speed servers are meant to end in under 5 days. There are literally players that stay up and play as much as the game will allow. After 24 hours I think the game goes into auto sleep mode for 6-8 hours, then back up again. And you can only set sleep mode after the game has been active for a min. of 18 hours.

One guy described it as going to take a pee, coming back and your warehouse is full.

Troops move at 5 times the speed, so a 42 minute travel for a cat is just over 8 minutes.

If I had 3 days with Absolutely nothing to do, I'd join up. Sounds like fun.

Here's from TW forums

We'll start the speedserver at 16:00 server time tomorrow (the 15th).
The settings will be the same as world 6. The building and resource production speed will be set at 10. Unit speed will be set to 0.5. That means the unit move with 5 times the speed of worlds 1, 3 and 5.

Please remember that you will need a premium account to play the speed server.

Account sitting will be allowed.

Sleep modus will be active.

The server will run until June 15th at 15:00 Server time.

There will be the following prizes for the speed server:

1st: 100 Premium points
2nd: 50 Premium points
3rd: 20 Premium points


Explanation for the sleep mode:
While your account is in sleep mode attacks on your villages do not take effect and will only visit. Production of troops, buildings and resources will also be paused in that time.
After being awake for 36 hours the sleep mode will be activated automatically. You can only enter sleep mode if have been awake for at least 18 hours and you have to set sleep mode at least 2 hours before it starts.
You may set a duration between 6 and 10 hours.

To enter sleep mode click settings -> sleep mode.

I looked at it, but I don't have a premium account -- and won't be able to afford one until after the game is over, I think. Still, looks exciting, and I wish you all the joy of it.

Well, I had some extra premium points, so I figured what the heck. I don't expect to win anything, just nice to see things move at a fast pace. Although that is also a drawback as you HAVE to keep an eye on it. My strategy today is to build up production and warehouse so when I go to sleep, I don't lose any resources, then use the accumulated resources tomorrow morning to stockpile troops and build walls. It definitely brings a different strategy to the game. You could win or lose a village in a manner of minutes.

Looks like I will disband the XMTS tribe on the speed server. I am surrounded by a players from very large tribes. There is a group of 3 tribes that are strong allies and between them, I think that they are the largest on this world. And they are ranked first, second, and fourth on the world right now. I can't stand alone against that kind of power. I'll bring any successful strategies back to our other worlds.
