Reece, where are you man? I hope they didn't scare you away. Take all things in consideration & do as you wish. Most persons will ask you which tartan you're wearing if in kilt not if you're wearing a correct uniform. You simply inform them why you're wearing what you're wearing & leave it at that. For the last 2 years I've walked the streets of Gettysburg before their Remembrance day parades in kilt & shell jacket proudly carrying my Southron Cross over my shoulder & have been confronted by none Let me just say we're all responsible for what we do in life & if what you do makes you happy then do it I was told by a member of XMTS shortly after I joined that anything Confederate mentioned on XMTS is a hot topic & boy was he ever right Sic Semper Tyrannis [><]

Lemme check my list of stuff I try to avoid on here.... Yep, anything Confederate is #5 !
This thread has gotten more contentious than even the kilt hating bible guy thread! And just to think, a few days ago I was saying the forum had been a little dull !
This thread has increased my desire to get a Confederate Memorial kilt though...

Detroitpete, Don't think I'd seen that one before, it is a good looking tartan though. I know a few guys that have what we call "dual heritage" that it would be a good fit for indeed, but my direct family has resided in 'the South' since they were put off the prison ship in Virginia! And I really like the looks of the Confederate Memorial tartan, regardless of it's name or purpose. Like the Texas Bluebonnet, it's been on my list for years, but I'm kind of cheap and didn't want to pay for a wool kilt in it, and I really like PV as a kilt material. Hopefully it will pop up in PV one of these days like the Bluebonnet did.
(and yes I know there are acrylic ones out there, I'll wait)
