Toe Shoes & Kilt?
Would it be too casual to go kilted while wearing my vibrams?

Thanks!
Slainte,
BB
EDIT: It would be mostly for camping.

Well...I wouldn't. I mean at all. I've seen these things and even tried some on. Not for me at all. Those actually match some work gloves that I have in my truck right now. I guess I just don't see the appeal.
In all seriousness, I'd stick with hiking boots when kilted.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

You can wear whatever you want, but I can't imagine it looking good. If you are camping and there are no pretty ladies around then go for it.

Now i do own a couple of pairs, i dont mix them in with my kilt and if you think the toe shoe name threw you just a bit imagine what you would have thought if the OP had used their actual names... Vibram Five Fingers & Kilt?

Hmmm...
I would lean towards "If that footwear would be appropriate to the setting, then so would a kilt". I wear a kilt hiking, shopping, to work in a government social service agency, out to dinner, etc. For me, the kilt is the constant. It's the accessories (jacket type, sporran type, neck wear) that change to match the setting.
Your life, live it up!

I wear my VFF's all the time. They are my go-to shoe if I am running, going to a theme park/zoo, whatever I do casual enough for shorts, I do in my VFF's.
Never worn them when kilted. Probably never will... unless it's a UK and I'm camping... which, honestly, you are more likely to catch me going out in public naked than you will in a UK, I just don't care for their style.

I wouldn't. I saw a guy at the Loon Mt. Highland Games this fall with those on and until he got close up it just looked like he had extremely dirty feet.
