I will be making one as soon as I can nail down the wife to mummify me...I have picked up some pvc pipe to put it on a stand as it gets stuffed...
I believe it is going to make it easier to adjust fells and lay out aprons to their final size.
I do not make my kilts in a particularly traditional fashion...I am somewhere between elsie and barb, and x-kilt...

Well, here's a pic of one I made. Here's a few tips I learned while building it.
-Have a friend do the taping, not you. It's more accurate.
-If it is hard to breath, you are wrapped too tight.
-Tape in a coat hanger (or a pole from the bottom) before sealing it up.
-Before sealing it up, put in some key body support. In pic below, the red marks where I cut large discs of dense styrofoam and inserted at chest, waist and hip locations. Measured carefully and cut to my body size. Held inside with more duct tape.
-Throw the shaved bits of foam into the form as filler. I put in other light weight filler too.
-Spraying foam filler is easy, AFTER it is taped up. Poke a hole with something sharp, and spray in. Seal holes with.... more duct tape.
-When using it to size a jacket, dress the dummy fully. The layers of clothes UNDER my jacket made a big difference in the resulting jacket size.
-It's humbling to see yourself in 3D. Plus it may encourage you to increase the duration and frequencies of your workouts.
