I doubt that anyone is going to report you if you do ;D
Personally I would feel uncomfortable off mixing nonreg garments (besides things like sock, etc) into uniform. I am also still a drilling Reservist and could be written up.
I would have to look it up but I believe that the working whites will no longer be a valid uniform item and the new utility khaki would be to Marine without the pants and rank for most nonmilitary. Even with the rank and pants it's to Marine for most nonmilitary.
