Not necessarily so. My first Gaelic teacher was a native of the Isle of Mull. He would say, "this is how we say it in Mull. But if you go to Skye, they pronounce it this way, and if you go to Inverness this is how they pronounce it." On top of that he spoke with a stutter. Learn Gaelic that way? Not to easy I assure you.
