Oh, I almost forgot...
At one point during the day when three of us (all from the first picture in this thread, except Steve) were standing around talking, a photographer from the San Antonio Express News came by and asked for a few photos.
We made it into the newspaper! I had completely forgotten about it until a friend of my wife's called her all in a buzz about me being in the paper in my kilt.
Unfortunately, their online edition is for subscribers only, and I don't get the newspaper delivered. Another friend of mine says she has a hard copy and will bring it to me tomorrow. I'll try to scan it in or something, and post it.

Great photos Shaun. Thanks for sharing them. I too enjoyed those of your wife and daughter as well as the one with you and your daughter.
I also got a kick out of the photo of the shaved head, tattooed big fellow putting the stone - he's certainly giving it his all. But what I found amusing was that the three competitors behind him are all lending him support through their body language. They're each dipping their right shoulder and appear to be giving it their all as well.

Here are the pics of our coverage in the paper. I'm posting this from my phone, so forgive me if there is anything amiss about it. This is the best I can do.

*Note: now that I'm on my PC, I cleaned up the pics a little and edited the new ones into my post.
Yeah, Steve, you just happened to step away at the wrong moment!
I'm glad they got a picture of the WWII reenactor. He does a pretty neat demonstration, showing the correct service uniform that he wore in the early days of WWII and describes his experiences. He's a neat old fellow.
But I think the guy standing next to him thought he was at a Ren faire.
