That was a major motivation for me to quit shaving. And when I had given it up and was then forced to shave by the military, I tended to cut myself more often.

How do you cut yourself? I have been shaving my face for 15 years and my whole head for 10. I can count on one finger how many times I "cut" myself. I have only "nicked" myself twice.

Forgot to add that I have also been shaving the southern hemisphere for the last 3 or so years.
