The jacket alteration is a definite improvement in the sleeve department and I like the tattersall and tie.

Now, if I can make just one more suggestion? Personally, I like to show just a bit of shirt sleeve past the cuff of my jacket, say about 1/4 to 1/2". It's a detail that ties into the collar of the shirt and breaks up the mass of a jacket. Maybe your shirt's sleeves are a bit short, or you buttoned them tightly, or you just need to "shoot" them out past the jacket cuff....
